Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Separation) Therapy

Diastasis recti is a separation of the abdominal muscles that is common during and after pregnancy. It is very treatable, and healing it is about how your whole core system manages pressure, not just closing a gap.

Sound familiar?
A gap or doming down your middle
Still looking pregnant months later
Feeling unsupported through your core
Back pain alongside the separation
Bulging when you sit up or lift

How I can help

Effective diastasis care goes beyond avoiding crunches forever. We work on:

Assessing the separation, and more importantly how your core generates tension

Breathing and pressure management so daily life stops straining the tissue

Progressive strengthening that reloads your core rather than avoiding it

Guidance for lifting kids, exercise, and returning to the workouts you enjoy

Kylie taught me the proper exercises to open up my pelvis and to release my pelvic floor for delivery, and has been a god send while healing my core and pelvic floor after birth. I would not have another baby without her support.

What your first visit looks like

1
We assess the separation

In different positions, because a gap behaves differently lying down and standing up.

2
Then how you actually move

Breathing, lifting, and where the pressure goes.

3
You leave with a plan

Exercises matched to where your core is today, progressed as you get stronger.

Common questions

Can diastasis be fixed without surgery?

Many women improve function and appearance significantly with therapy alone. For larger separations, therapy is still valuable, and if surgery is ever considered, a stronger core improves the outcome.

Is it too late to treat my diastasis?

No. The tissue and muscles respond to training whether your baby is six months or sixteen years old.

Wondering if this is what you're experiencing?

Tell Dr. Kylie what's going on and she'll get back to you within one business day.
